I've been watching this show since the beginning, and while I love an overly dramatic soap opera, this testify exceeds the standards of unrealistic expectations. Tyler Perry has a problem with writing one dimensional characters who are either all skillful or all bad. No one is equally evil as some of the characters he's created, and if they are, their motives would at to the lowest degree brand sense. There is no reason for Randal to accept annihilation else to say to Marcy, and yet he goes out of his way, after she'south moved out and moved on, to continue to harass her. Why?? Even "crazy" has to follow some logic, and here there merely isn't whatsoever. And so herein lies the biggest problem for me; the characters don't make much sense. They're dramatic simply for the sake of drama without existence human. And ane boosted annotation.... Tyler Perry needs someone on the payroll to pay closer attention to details. Things like having a man be suffocated with a pillow while having a breathing mask on....hard to ignore.

Storyline OK... Interim? Shoddy....
I don't want to seem harsh; even so, the acting reminds me of performances my child had in middle school.Some of the acting is less than mediocre; I get together here skills can be built if the show stays in
rotation for a while. I do meet potential!
The characters within immediate families blend oddly; it would exist interesting to see resemblance. Children unremarkably resemble ane or both parents; it'south otherwise. Whitfield'due south character & acting is OK,; his skills shows the flaws of the actors he works closely with.
Interesting scandal between the unfaithful neighbors who hang out and work together.

What a elevate (season four especially)
I am a huge fan of Tyler Perrys piece of work. I will sentry anything Tyler perry makes, but...this evidence is such a drrrrraaaaaggggg and has become super depressing. Every episode there's no progress. 1 day in this show drags for the unabridged flavour. The awkward silences in between responses, in alllllllll the conversations are rather irritating. They accept a not bad story line - but something between the writing and the interim is very stale. Flavour 4 seems to be dragging through. The drama is no longer exciting...its expected and we are bored of the repetition. Tyler practise something (especially with the random awakard silences in betwixt responses in all the conversations)

If Loving this Show is Wrong
A fan from the starting time but now the VIEWERS ARE BEING INSULTED. The repetition of the script is draining. Nosotros Need Improve WRITERS. Tyler,you lot have loyal viewers and we are Non IDIOTS. We hear the repeating of words, simple Q & A is just insulting and a time waster. It's Tuesday, nosotros don't have time to waste. A loyal fan I am merely the quality of this show is far from Greenleaf!!! This show is substandard work for Tyler and I'm so disappointed. Even with poor interim, we are used to the characters now so just build on what nosotros have. Stop insulting us. Don't know if I'll return next season. Aforementioned clothes, same words, aforementioned questions... What's one 24-hour interval, right?

Horrible
I have to agree with Pattana746. I am a Tyler Perry fan and will go along to back up him, however, this show is awful. The interim is horrible and the actors are even worse (except for the African American actor with the nick name "Malik"; I tin can't remember his name at the moment).
All of his Boob tube shows have the same trouble, the story lines are OK just he goes over the top. I sympathise this is TV and for entertainment purposes only, only come on. Edgar, the cop character??? Requite me a break. We all know there are skillful & bad cops out at that place but to shoot someone and get effectually bragging almost it to all of your friends. REALLY....
He also tries to make this too much like an old schoolhouse lather opera, I'm waiting for the "bewilderment" music at the end of each scene. Why not take time for character evolution before you cram us with all of the drama in the starting time episode.
This is simply one person'due south opinion, but I will continue to support Mr. Perry's future endeavors.

Let'southward go real
I have admired Tyler Perry since the beginning. But the story line and his portrayal of the blackness women on the testify is then off base. Please may the story line more conceivable. Who would move in with a homo and then decide not to sleep with him after already sleeping with him. What is the betoken. When Natalie's son was shot she should have been downwardly at that place crying and falling all over him or she should had fainted. Kelly needs to heed her concern, what woman would remain friends with a women who slept with her husband's friend and neighbour. Considering next Alex could slumber with her man. The show just is not realistic. Someone should have shot Eddie along time agone. This season finally left me disappointed.

A Long Drawn Out Dump 💩

The acting is terrible. It'south similar waiting for a train to crash that doesn't crash over and once again. How old is the writer for the script? THREE?!? This evidence sucks. Characters constantly repeating lines with a fake fervor that tops over acting at its worst. Also that wig on Edwina Findley is terrible and she knows it. Tyler and Lee e'er seem to accept the pretty darker skinned actresses looking & acting wack in their shows & movies. They are 2 petty Coons who lost their way in Hollyweird. I wonder how many of the male person actors ended up on the casting couch, my condolences. Watch this show if you similar taking long drawn out smelly poops that don't come up all the way out... that's the essence of this bear witness. POOP 💩💩💩

Horrible! Horrible!
This bear witness has an 'ok' plot. I don't know if information technology the manner the script is written, or if information technology is just bad acting. It is horrible! All of the actors deed the aforementioned. The lines are choppy. The bandage words don't flow like other actors.
Tyler needs to inquire Shonda Rhimes how to write a story line considering all of her shows are off the concatenation and First-class with slap-up interim. Her script is written unlike from Tyler's. Tyler's script goes like this: Did you? Yes. Tell me the truth. I did. Are you lot sure? I told you. I don't believe you. I told you....just horrible.
The bad cop is excessive. Randall never works.
Luchion's girlfriend gets mad over trivial things. If Luchion has money in the banking company that is his business non hers. He has i kid by her. He is supporting that kid, why would you write something for her to get mad over what she has no control over, plus the real manor woman should have non revealed that.
All these punk cops are afraid of one cop. Lushion is not strong plenty..besides weak. I take never known any weak cops. Why are these men so weak? Can't yous have some truth somewhere in your stories.
Marcie and Brad need to engagement someone else. This plot has run its form. They are becoming slow. They don't belong together. It's non a power play movement.
Why would Kelly believe that the guy who cuts her grass is gay. She says she never run into him with a girl. Really? He'due south over there cutting grass!!! This was silly writing. OMG Tyler, you need help.

Dull, irksome and spotty interim
Tyler Perry had a practiced premise for this series merely unfortunately the episodic writing does little to motility the story, or the viewer, forward enough to capture and continue their involvement.
The dialogue is frequently irksome and so repetitive that the viewer either gets frustrated or loses interest. Combine this with sub par interim by several cast members and y'all finish up with a missed opportunity for another Tyler Perry hit.
The cast does accept some good actors, specifically Charles Malik Whitfield and Zulay Henao, only they can't completely make upwards for the incessantly overdone whining of Edwina Findley's Kelly or the cloying ineffectual portrayal of Alex given past Amanda Clayton. In addition both of the main villainous characters grossly over act, making the characters both Eddie (Joel Rush) and Randall (Eltony Richards) too unbelievable to make sense.
All together this prove, sadly, is a disappointing collection of misses.

This show has gone from stupid to just downwards right AWFUL!!!

I watched the show on April 25, 2017 and it was simply then pathetic. A 20 minute scene between Alex and Randal? Actually? Eddie's character is ridiculous, just also over the pinnacle. And please explain to me how Marcie beingness 14 weeks pregnant could maybe mean that the baby will be Brad'southward babe. Alex's baby is just virtually a week old and Marcie and Brad only slept together once while Alex was in the hospital. At present, they're and so in love like they've been together for several months. What a joke! Please don't insult your loyal viewers' intelligence. Something has to give here. This show has to get better, perchance starting with better actors and actresses (similar getting rid of Travis' and Kelly's characters). Their acting is the worst of all. He can't fifty-fifty play a decent psychotic person, and she'south still whining all the time. If this is what the show has resorted to, then I'k out. I volition non waste my time watching this prove.

Practiced story line, BAD writing.....
The story line starts off with two neighbors being unfaithful and a series of unfortunate events follow.I simply really hate the writing of the bear witness....Way likewise choppy and drags on. It'southward but a bunch of stalling.... I wish they would get to the d*** betoken!!!! (NEW Writer PLEASE)---I don't know why people proceed saying it's unrealistic though; I do think sometimes things that have happened take kind of been pulled from thin air like, How everyone knows d*** well Randall should take been the begetter of the baby but now they're trying to throw Lucian in the mix when he and Alex have conspicuously, never had sex activity....Now THAT was far fetched, and unrealistic....For the almost part it'south difficult to follow when there'due south so many other good shells on the roster only Tyler this show would be a hit if you lot got better Writers.

The worst!

The only reason I gave it a "1" is considering "0" was not an option. This show, along with the other Tyler Perry shows on OWN, is an insult to the viewer's intelligence. Contrived dialogue, ridiculous story lines and terrible acting seems to be what Mr. Perry is rather consistent in. Joel Rush/Eddie (the cop) is not only a horrible actor, but his character and the situations he's put in are laughable. Mr. Perry seems totally out of touch with normal human being reactions and dialogue. A "pretty" bandage where the women vesture skintight dresses and the men go shirtless does not a prove make. I'm shocked that Oprah would lower her standards to this level. Put your dress on and stick to interim Mr. Perry. (Not that that's much better).

Get the writers from " A family that Preys" to Write this major Incorrect!
This prove has two really bad areas, the writing and the interim. The acting is by far the worst I have ever seen on TV. Giving Tyler Perry credit for what he has achieved does non hateful the we as people of color should applaud this and his other extremely bad shows. I enjoyed the movie "A Family that Preys" It would benefit this show to accept those writers take over this bear witness. Randall is difficult to lookout and the bad cop story line and acting is an insult to the whole concept of acting. Keep the histrion who plays Brad,give him some lessons on timing, go along Luscious and his girlfriend and replace the residue of the bandage immediately. If we are ever to be taken seriously we should not accept this depression standard of art. Give thanks goodness for the talent of Shonda Rhimes, Lee Daniels, Danny Strong, Kerry Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard,and with a few exceptions the entire cast of these two shows that lend acceptance to the fact that given the right opportunity with a serious leader nosotros deserve a forum, but this show is all wrong and loving it would be impossible.

It was revealed final season that she is maybe in protective custody, and that Lushion is perhaps undercover. Aside from the horrible story line, the interim is atrocious. The writing is even worse. There was a scene with Natalie and Lushion in the hospital waiting for discussion from the doctor as to Natalie'due south son's condition. The doctor finally comes out to chat with them. This is the conversation: I'm Dr. Norton {Break}. Tell me. He'southward not in the best condition. How bad. He has less than a 12% chance of making it. In that location is hope right? Not much. There is some hope though, correct? I wouldn't become as well hopeful. All I take is hope. When the bullet shattered his rib muzzle (further explains)…. Lushion then interrupts and asks "How bad is information technology?" Didn't Natalie only enquire the same question non 5 seconds ago?! – What doctor PAUSES to hear what the other political party states after providing his name? Honestly, it sounds similar a 15 twelvemonth old wrote this script. Information technology is increasingly difficult to scout a show that feels similar it'due south filling airtime with repeated sentences and delayed chat. I canceled information technology from my DVR schedule along with If Loving You is Wrong.

Something is wrong one thousand with the acting
The acting is terrible it looks like the actors are making there own line they all talk like elementary kids repeating there words constantly and it's to bad because the show story line had potential. I also know that some of those actors can human action every bit I have seen them in other shows

For a talent every bit keen as Tyler Perry's, this is disappointing.
Tyler Perry is incredibly talented and I take been one of his biggest fans....but this particular series is not a good representation of his piece of work. Most of the cardinal characters are merely marginally interesting which is very disappointing, and the primal story line never seems to advance enough to go along viewers interested. Episodes seem to elevate on and on with goose egg much happening and viewers oftentimes suffer ten or fifteen minutes of a grapheme simply pacing back and forth while apparently deciding what to do - which is ho-hum. Apparently this is a way to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out a lack of content, but what it actually accomplishes instead is to crook the viewers.
In the first 2 seasons there were some well played segments, and some talented interim, (particularly by Charles Malik Whitfield, Apr Parker-Jones and Chris Five. Pipkin,) but as time and episodes play out,instead of getting more interesting, this disappointing goggle box series is just losing my attention.

What the Heck Happened???????
When I first started watching this show, I thought it was slap-up, but I don't know what the heck happened. This show now is just bad bad bad and I am very surprised at Tyler for letting this go along under his name. The writing is absolutely atrocious, the acting is.... oh my gosh, the story line is insane and makes the actors look similar a bunch of idiots and if yous don't hear "OK" and to the lowest degree 350 times an episode, you don't hear it once.
I can not believe the stupidity of the roles of the characters, stupid to the point where it is embarrassing to sentinel and just makes y'all mad, especially Kelly's graphic symbol. Information technology is but getting worse and worse every flavor and I recollect I'k about to be a 10-fan. I watched the new episode last night and after 10 minutes, I was ready to turn the channel. They either need to get some new writers or something or I will no longer be watching this prove. What a shame.

Terrible and Disappointing!!
I've endured this show from the starting time. It started out with some interesting story lines, simply the acting was not very good. Over time, the story lines accept painfully dragged out and the acting has gone from not so good to absolutely terrible. The scenes are long and redundant and I think at times, the actors repeat themselves. I don't know if they have run out of lines and are badly trying to ad-lib. It's amazing how this crap has survived. I judge it's the deplorable viewers like me that continue to watch, hoping for a modify. Information technology would make me feel better if they just kill off Eddie (the mega- dingy cop). That grapheme is fashion over the top and everyone around him is a joke. I desire to see him die a painful, shameful decease. And, the Travis grapheme is all over my nerves. What the heck!!! I guess the new guy told the producers to impale him off so that he could escape that circus. After all, the dude spent an unabridged season cutting an 8x8 strip of grass. At to the lowest degree they killed off the redneck racist, only they should have let that scumbag Randle dice as well.

I've been watching this bear witness from the beginning, because I like Tyler Perry'southward movies, and I figured this show was going be as good equally his movies. I figured wrong. I really thought that after the get-go season the acting and lines would better with the new seasons and it would get better, just if seems to have gotten worse. The actors are notwithstanding so unreal, also every bit the situations. Eddie is the worst of them all, so blatantly corrupt, and no i puts a end to his actions, in fact the entire police department and detectives are horribly represented, except for Lushion, he'southward the only 1 that'southward credible. The actor'southward lines are and so choppy and repetitive, and they dwell on certain lines forever. The writing for this show has to change, then that the actors have a take chances to demonstrate their acting abilities. Mr. Perry, I hope you find new writers.

Breathy insult of human being intelligence
This testify is atrocious. There is no worse adjective I tin find for this worse than putrid. Its a blatant insult of my intelligence as well as those who are watching it. I approximate this is quite vague just to be more specific, this testify has such awful actors, its quite glaring that they are "acting". The storyline of this prove is quite dramatic and somewhat capturing and I must requite credit where due. Please note I said, story line, highlighting the "general idea" of the script but the script itself is utter crap. A mediocre script, with very mediocre actors builds upwardly to what I depict as a blatant insult of the human intelligence. A lot of the scenarios are unrealistic, tabled with over dramatic actors who fail to control the screen. Questions must be asked of the casting crew as well as the directors and producers of this bear witness. This is not a testify I would recommend to anyone unless they are looking for completely over dramatic scenes with mediocrity in conveying that script on the screen on the side of the actors. Basically if you lot are into mediocrity, then "if loving you is incorrect" is your condom haven. By no means if yous like this testify am I insulting your intelligence, but I'm insulting your taste in non sensible material.

Just Manifestly AWFUL.....Period.
I wanted to really give it a 1/x, merely I decided to add together an actress point considering Tyler went out of his manner to make sure that all of his "sexy" people look really skillful! Also, I take never laughed so hard at unintentionally funny scenes in all of my TV life. Betwixt the poor interim, poor writing, 1970's photographic camera work, and numerous awkward pauses between beats, it's only as well much FAIL to readily recommend.
I like Tyler Perry. Let'due south be clear on that. BUT, this show is terrible. Simply, if yous like to laugh, you lot should do fine watching this!
In that location is i redeeming quality that I tin can say that would be a plus for the bear witness though, the actors really try their best. You lot can see where they may lack professional experience, just you can also see the sincerity. I truly and honestly think that Tyler should hire an contained team of writers for this show. Television is not the Stage. The beats and menstruation operate totally different from a live phase play. Just similar film and television receiver take a distinct dissimilarity, his shows need to feel less like live phase plays. I do promise he meets success though, considering I like Tyler Perry as a person. This show, not so much.

Pure Trash
I've never seen annihilation of quality from Tyler Perry, so I shouldn't exist surprised about this show. This show is also pure trash, merely similar all the material that comes from Tyler Perry.
The characters have no morals, go behind each others' backs, bedding each others' husbands and wives.
One of the actors, Amanda Clayton, looks like she hasn't washed her hair in many days, with oily strands hanging in her face.
If these are the types of people Mr. Perry draws his inspiration from, he needs to go a ameliorate pick of friends. These characters vest in a trailer park, not the upscale neighborhood depicted on the testify.
The acting doesn't become any worse than this testify.

Tyler, go suggest from Ophrah on writing shows!
This show is atrocious. 1. Scenes are too long ii. while the scenes are too long: every scene there is a 'no your not, Aye I am" or "you need to leave, I'grand not leaving" "requite me the gun, I'm not giving you the gun" every scene has a back forth skillful and evil that is sooooo annoying.
sorry Tyler you are bombing at the TV shows on OWN!! Get the writers Oprah brash you lot to get
Furthermore a black cop will not take that crap from another cop. The bad cop stuff with Eddie is over the top. That's sooo unreal

If loving you is wrong is all wrong
I gave this a 2 only considering I seem to watch it every week without fail. I'thousand non sure why. All I practise is express mirth and information technology'southward not a comedy. The actors are awful. Some worst than others. I notice many reviewers comment on how they say things over and over and that is ONE of the things that makes me desire to cry out loud! Many of these characters seem dumb/slow or unrealistic. This reminds me of when Luke saved Port Charles from the Ice Princess. While the story lines aren't quite equally ridiculous every bit that, the actors in this series are not where near as talented as Anthony Geary and that bandage either. Whitfield is enjoyable equally usual but he should not thank his lines for that
I won't elevate this show through the coals but for "crying out loud" Oprah...(I take never forgotten what you said nigh excellence)and this is not reflective.
